Ikon appoints Totally Awesome’s Mel Roberts as agency director following Sharon Cookson’s exit

Ikon Communications has appointed a new head of its Melbourne office six months after the departure of Sharon Cookson.

The WPP-owned company has hired Mel Roberts, the outgoing head of Totally Awesome Australia and New Zealand, as agency director where she will report to CEO Lesley Edwards.

Roberts’ appointment follows Cookson’s return to OMD Melbourne in January, where she took on the role of managing partner.
