Impact APAC lead Adam Furness exits after eight years
Adam Furness leaves as Impact seeks "unified international leadership across [APAC] and EMEA.”
Adam Furness has stepped down from his role as Asia Pacific managing director of digital partnership platform Impact after eight years, amid what appears to be a global leadership restructure.
The Australian media and adtech executive will leave the APAC operation at the end of March, writing on Linkedin that the company has reached “the level of maturity that calls for unified international leadership across [APAC] and EMEA.”
Furness, who will remain an Impact shareholder, added in his post: “I see this as a huge milestone. It’s proof of how far this region has come, and I’m incredibly proud of that. Mission accomplished.”

Furness originally made his mark in media sales, holding senior roles at NineMSN and Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) in Brisbane, before transitioning to advertising technology with programmatic marketing company Radium One in 2014.
Three years later, he exited the company, then known as Rhythm One, and joined Impact in 2018, which at the time had just four employees in its Sydney office.
Impact did not comment directly on the future of its APAC leadership, although Mumbrella understands there will be no other changes to the company’s 140-strong Australian and APAC workforce.
An announcement regarding the leadership of APJ is expected in due course, a company spokesperson told Mumbrella.
“After eight highly successful years leading the Impact APJ business, Adam Furness will step away from his day-to-day role at the end of March,” the spokesperson said.
“During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in building and scaling our regional presence, growing the business, and establishing a strong foundation for continued expansion.
“He will remain involved with the company as a proud shareholder and supporter. We are grateful for his significant contribution to the business.”
Adam is a hugely positive force for so many across the industry. Wonderful human being.
