Independent Distributors’ award winners

The Australian Independent Distributors’ Association dinner, held last night during this week’s Australian International Movie Convention, presented awards in a number of categories, as voted by the AIDA members.

The following winners:
Best Independent Regional Cinema:  Avoca Beach Picture Theatre, NSW Central Coast
Best Multiplex: Rivoli Cinemas, Melbourne
Best Independent Urban Cinema: Nova Carlton, Melbourne
Best New Zealand Cinema: Lido Cinema, Auckland

Bob Parr, cinema manager of Adelaide’ Wallis Cinemas Group was awarded the Independent Spirit Award. Parr has worked in the industry for almost 50 years.
