Industry full of ‘bullshit’ and people who like the sound of their own voice, says Hans Hulsbosch
Hans Hulsbosch has branded the advertising industry full of “bullshit” with too many people, too fond of the sound of their own voice.
The founder of the design agency that carries his name said there was strength in staying silent and only entering a conversation when you have something meaningful to say.
Speaking at the Mumbrella360 conference, on the importance of forming a strong bond with CEOs, Hulsbosch said in such a time poor world, it is more beneficial to quickly get to the point.
Well there’s a newsflash for you…
Cannot argue with that.
So he complains about the industry being full of bullshit only to then talk about as bullshit a concept as people “not having enough commitment”. Seriously bewildering stuff. I’d like to know how he gauges someone’s commitment. Does he have a meter?
pot calling the kettle black
Lysander – I would suggest that his ‘meter’ is the years and years of experience and expertise he has. When you have worked with as many clients as Hans had I suspect that you too might be able to trust your intuition.
Telling it like it is…
I appreciate Hans speaking his mind, it happens less and less in this industry and I applaud anyone that is brave enough to really speak their mind, particularly in a public forum such as this. And look what happened… everyone is talking about Hulsbosch – at least he made people feel something.
