Initiative Sydney’s GM Nick Wokes made redundant
The general manager of Initiative, Nick Wokes, has departed the agency.
In a statement to Mumbrella, an Initiative spokesperson said Wokes had been made redundant.
“As we continue to evolve our competitive positioning in market, we are also adapting our structure to ensure it meets future needs and opportunities for clients. In this process, the role of Initiative Sydney General Manager has been made redundant.
Wait. What? Initiative actually still exists?
@Confused…….clearly you are.
Good luck Wokesy – one of the best!
Er…media agency for Bunnings, Officeworks, Pizza Hut, AMAZON, Specsavers, Qatar airlines, Industry Super, WA Govt, Revlon, Tourism Tas, RAC, Lego, Carlsberg
I think they’re doing OK
Let’s see – Bunnings (Melb office) , Officeworks (Melb), Pizza Hut (Syd), AMAZON (Actually Rufus powered by Initiative), Specsavers (Melb), Qatar airlines (Melb), Industry Super (Melb), WA Govt (Perth), Revlon (Syd and Melb I think), Tourism Tas (Melb), RAC (Perth), Lego (still UM I think), Carlsberg (Melb)
So yeah they exist but mainly in Melbourne and Perth, so they probably didn’t need a Sydney GM given they have no clients there.
Good luck Wokesy. Legend.
The Anti-Cultural Revolution continues as more humanity is purged.
Mediabrands should merge UM Sydney and Initiative Melbourne and they’d have a bloody good agency….
Damn shame, Wokes is an absolute pleasure to work with! I’m sure he’ll be killing it somewhere else soon.
