Jamie Durie partners with global news streaming platform LeadStory

Horticulturalist and TV host Jamie Durie has joined LeadStory as a presenter, where he will develop and present original programming focused on sustainability and design.

This partnership aims to expand LeadStory’s premium lifestyle content and enhance its global reach.

The announcement:

Global news streaming platform LeadStory has appointed internationally recognised designer, environmental advocate and media personality Jamie Durie OAM to its global talent roster, expanding its footprint in premium lifestyle content.

Durie will develop and present original programming exploring environmental innovation, sustainable living, architecture and design, bringing his expertise to audiences across LeadStory’s global platforms.

LeadStory is a hyper-personalised, on-demand news streaming platform that combines AI-driven personalisation with verified journalism from trusted global broadcasters including CBS, CNBC, Reuters, Bloomberg, Deutsche Welle, Al Jazeera, Channel 10 Australia and France 24. The platform delivers curated local and global news content across connected TV, mobile, digital and in-car environments.

For Durie, joining LeadStory combines his long-standing focus on sustainability with a distribution model designed for modern viewing habits and global reach.

“I’m excited to be joining the team at LeadStory. What excites me most is the opportunity to bring the stories behind sustainability, design and environmental innovation to a global community, across multiple viewing platforms.” Durie said.

Heidi Sayers, Chief Commercial Officer at LeadStory, said Durie represents the kind of globally relevant voice the platform is building around.

“Jamie sits at the intersection of design, sustainability and storytelling in a way very few people do. He is not just a talent, he is a trusted, globally recognised authority with strong audience resonance across Australia, the US and Asia,” Sayers said.

“At LeadStory, we are focused on elevating premium content that informs, inspires and carries cultural relevance. Jamie’s credibility and global perspective strengthen that ambition.”

The announcement comes as LeadStory continues a period of rapid international growth. Founded in 2021 by journalist Cameron Price and software engineer Cheyne Wallace, the platform’s FAST TV channels — Breaking News, Breaking Sports News and Your News, the world’s first personalised TV channel — are now available on Samsung TV Plus, LG Channels and VIZIO across multiple global markets.

LeadStory has recently surpassed one billion minutes watched on connected TV and expanded its global distribution footprint through partnerships with Škoda, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo in automotive, Kogan and HP across connected devices, and airline networks via Anuvu. The platform was most recently selected by leading U.S. advertising agency, Stagwell to participate in their Future of News initiative.

LeadStory’s model combines traditional video advertising with branded video storytelling, including on-location productions with brands and their spokespeople. Over the past year, the company has partnered with organisations including Tourism Fiji, Sydney Water, Tourism NT, Origin Energy and American Australian Association to create and distribute story-led content.

Durie’s content will begin rolling out across LeadStory’s platforms in the coming months.
