JC Decaux’s Oliver Newton joins Amazon, as John Harris is promoted

Just six months after being promoted to chief sales officer at out-of-home provider JC Decaux, Oliver Newton is leaving the out-of-home organisation after 15 years to join Amazon as advertising sales director.

Replacing him at JC Decaux is John Harris who has been promoted to general manager, sales.

JC Decaux’s chief commercial officer, Max Eburne, said of the departure: “Olly has been a remarkable colleague and friend, and while it’s sad to see him go, he can be proud of the enormous contribution he’s made over the past 11 years. He’s achieved many things but most importantly earned the trust and respect of our clients, employees, and peers in our industry. Olly has inspired and mentored many people at JCDecaux and I’m sure he’ll go on to have a similarly positive effect on many others at Amazon.”
