JCDecaux New Zealand releases live fan campaign for Winter Olympic Games

JCDecaux New Zealand has rolled out a real-time supporter campaign with the New Zealand Olympic Committee, showcasing fan-submitted content across its national digital out-of-home network.

The announcement:

With the Winter Olympic Games now underway, JCDecaux New Zealand, as official Out-of-Home partner of the New Zealand Team, has launched a live supporter campaign in partnership with the New Zealand Olympic Committee, bringing real-time fan support into public spaces across its national digital network.

The campaign invites fans across New Zealand to submit photos of support via a dedicated portal, with approved images appearing live across New Zealand Team channels and selected JCDecaux digital sites. The result is a constantly evolving, supporter-led creative that reflects national backing for the Team throughout the Olympic Games.

Phil Eastwood, general manager, JCDecaux New Zealand, said: “The activation focuses on turning Olympic support into something people can see and share while the Games are happening.

“The Olympics are a live, emotional moment for the country. This campaign gives that support a public presence, updating as the Games unfold and allowing New Zealanders to be part of the story while our athletes are competing.”

The supporter creative is delivered as a live, collage-style execution that refreshes continuously as new submissions are received, ensuring the content remains current and closely aligned with the pace and momentum of the Games.

Jonny Errington, chief commercial and marketing officer of the New Zealand Olympic Committee, said the activation strengthens the connection between athletes and supporters during competition.

“Our athletes draw energy from knowing the country is behind them. Seeing that support appear live across the network reinforces the collective backing of New Zealanders at the moments that matter most during the Olympic Games.”

The activation is powered by Dynamic Creative Optimisation (DCO) in collaboration with creative technology partner Latch. The framework integrates live user-generated content feeds, automated creative switching and Content Management System (CMS)-driven scheduling, allowing the campaign to refresh automatically and continuously.
