My Kitchen Rules launch down on last year’s debut as Seven still wins the night
Channel Seven’s biggest show of the year, My Kitchen Rules, returned to television last night for its eighth season, attracting an average audience of 1.309m, helping Seven win the night alongside the debut of its new show Bride & Prejudice.
The premiere of My Kitchen Rules, starring celebrity judges Manu Feildel and Pete Evans saw Tassie sweethearts Damo & Caz host the first dinner party. The episode, which aired at 7.30pm, was the most watched program across key advertising demographics 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54.
In comparison with the 1.576m audience that the season seven premiere managed, last night’s episode dropped in viewers, still topping its time-slot and the night, according to OzTAM’s overnight preliminary metro ratings.
