Kleenex proclaims puppy will remain as brand ambassador

Despite launching a nationwide search for a new animal ambassador, Kleenex has announced it will keep the incumbent Kleenex Puppy after all.

The brand announced it would be on the hunt for a new animal ambassador last month, releasing ads by JWT which featured the auditions of a bear, rabbit and an alpaca.

In a post to Facebook, Kleenex said: “Our search for a superior spokes-animal is over!

“While the Bear, Alpaca and Rabbit all pulled off great auditions, it was the Kleenex Puppy who proved he’s still the top dog for the job – nailing softness, strength and absorbency. It’s clear to see you all agree! The pup appreciates all the love.”

During Kleenex’s search for a new animal brand ambassador, comedian Dave Hughes was commissioned to start a #SaveKleenexPuppy movement on his official Facebook fan page.
