Kyle and Jackie O to host TV talk show on Seven
Southern Cross Austereo radio show hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O are to star in a talk show on TV.
Called A Night With The Stars, the show – which is filmed in LA – will debut later in the year on Seven.
A press release from Seven reads:
On their weekday Southern Cross Austereo radio show, Kyle and Jackie chat to the biggest names from the world of entertainment – and A Night With The Stars will continue that tradition. Guests will share their intimate, humorous and often different points of view with Kyle and Jackie.
The last radio pairing to try their luck on TV was the Today Network’s Hamish and Andy, with Hamish and Andy’s Gap Year on Nine. The show debuted with an audience of 1.456m.
Whoopee! As long as those two nincompoops are gagged, it could be a great show!
But I suspect they’ll be allowed to talk – groan!
Just as well that the Internet has plenty of FREE alternatives. I might even read a book…
Unskilled and unaware of it.
I think Kyle’s a great guy and quite misunderstood by the Australian public.
He’s intelligent, caring and quite sexy to boot… and definitely the man you’d want in the hotseat when it comes to doing those tough entertainment interviews…
Wow – just when I though Seven couldn’t forage around any shallower in the talent pool.
Who is the Channel Seven demographic these days anyways? It’s the one station that NEVER gets shown in our household..
Now I really do hope The Rapture is this Friday.
Pity really, they’ve both got perfect heads for radio
this will be facinating viewing, who doesn’t like watching a train wreck happening before their eyes?
I don’t understand why this would be on Seven.
What is Southern Cross Austereo thinking? Surely it would make more sense on TEN so they can syndicate the show across their regional markets.
“He’s intelligent, caring and quite sexy to boot”
I just vomited in my mouth a little.
If Kyle and Jackie O are so crap and incompetent, then why do they rate well? Whilst everyone is entitled to have their opinion, I think it’s time for people to stop acting so high and mighty and realise that they do appeal to mass Australia. Maybe it’s time for some of you to go west of the Anzac bridge or heaven forbid, west of parramatta to discover real Sydney.
By the way I don’t work for SCA…
“If Kyle and Jackie O are so crap and incompetent, then why do they rate well?”
Their appeal is to the lowest common denominator.
And for your information, I spend more time in Penrith than east of the Anzac Bridge, where I rarely venture…
