Kyle & Jackie O Show breaches decency rules … again

ARN are "unwilling or unable to rein in these presenters" according to the watchdog
The Kyle and Jackie O Show has again been wrapped over the knuckles by the communications watchdog, which found “multiple breaches of the Commercial Radio Code of Practice” over shows that aired across a five-month period.
The Australian Communications and Media Authority found a total of seven breaches of the code in shows that aired between August and December 2024 on ARN-owned KIIS stations in Melbourne and Sydney.
According to ACMA, the breaches involved two episodes of a guessing game, where audio clips from various staff members urinating were aired, with hosts guesting which audio was from which staffer.

“Both episodes included comments about the genitals of participants, and in the female staff member episode, graphic comments about menstruation and oral sex,” ACMA’s ruling found.
In addition, a game where a contestant provided an offensive description of a sexual position, and a segment which contained lewd discussions about masturbation and pornography websites, also breached the code.
In 2025 alone, ACMA has found 12 breaches of the code from the show — so far. Now, parent company ARN is being threatened with enforcement action.
“The Kyle & Jackie O Show has repeatedly and deliberately aired content that is vulgar, sexually explicit and deeply offensive,” ACMA Chair Nerida O’Loughlin said.
“Even after previous breaches and the employment of additional censors required by the ACMA, the program continues to broadcast content that is unacceptable to the community.
“ARN as the licensee of these stations appears unwilling or unable to rein in these presenters.
“As a result, the ACMA is currently considering enforcement actions so that ARN takes full responsibility for the content broadcast on their stations.”
They move with impunity, they run without rules. How is it possible KS talks about openly his coke use in the drive slot, swiftly moves onto a competition about a 12 year old girl beating a tradie or whatever that segment is? Are they not governed by the same ACMA that all other ‘teams’ are?… Are they outside decency and simply write their own rules knowing the fine is worth the surprise element?… You’ve two fairly low IQ (to be fair to Kyle rather sharp with point driven punctuated delivery) individuals marrying hot topics with utter horses#it on the daily. The format is tired as are those two. They must sit at home wondering “how did we manage to create our own KP Vs Bond moment”
This show is tired and vulgar

“…breaches of the code in shows that aired between August and December 2024…”
– so it has taken between 9-14 months for ACMA to report. Stunningly timely as usual!
