La La Land climbs to second at box office after Golden Globe wins
La La Land has jumped to second place from eighth in Australia’s box office takings after winning seven awards at the Golden Globes last week.
La La Land picked up seven awards at the Golden Globes last week.
The American musical raked in $2.306m over the weekend, according to the Motion Picture Distributors Association of Australian figures, which was up from last weekend’s total of $1.690m.
The film, which features Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling tells the story of a musician and an aspiring actress who fall in love in Los Angeles.
