Lewis on 7Two beats Restaurant Revolution on Seven as reality show sinks to a new low
Multichannel 7Two claimed a rare victory over Seven’s main channel yesterday with UK detective show Lewis outrating Seven’s Restaurant Revolution in the 8.30pm timeslot.
Seven’s decision to further bury the cooking show in the later 8.30pm to 10.30pm slot led to a further slump in viewers with just 298,000 tuning in, compared to 366,000 on 7Two – leaving it sixth in its timeslot.
It was also up against the dead rubber fifth and final Ashes test between England and Australia, which drew 600,000 viewers for session one between 7.30 – 10pm on Gem.
The Bachelor managed 817,000 at 7.30pm and was again the top entertainment show of the night, although it was down from 911,000 last Thursday according to OzTam metro overnight ratings.Nine comfortably topped the night with a share of 20.2 per cent, ahead of Seven with 13.8 per cent and Ten’s 13.1 per cent, while Gem had 11.9 per cent courtesy of the cricket, comfortably ahead of ABC’s 10.3 per cent.
