The Lifestyle Channel, owned by XYZ Networks, won the top honour at the ASTRA Awards in Thursday night, being named channel of the year.

The ASTRA Awards celebrate Australia’s subscription television industry.

In a big night for the network, Peter Maddison, the presenter of Grand Designs Australia was named best new talent, while his show won the most outstanding lifestyle program award. The original British version of Grand Designs won favourite international program.
