Telstra did NOT help broadcast the Moon landing at all.
In 1969, the PMG (postmaster generals department) handled phone calls. The OTC (overseas telecommunications commission) didn’t yet exist. Telecom was born in 1975, becoming Telstra years later.
Neither Telstra nor it’s forebears played any role.
A straight up lie, or incompetence by one of its agencies. There should be consequences as this sort of nonsense causes brand damage.
