When Love Comes To Town finale drags down Nine’s Tuesday ratings
Nine had one of its weakest nights of the year on Tuesday with its finale of dating show When Love Comes To Town averaging just 536,000 metro viewers according to preliminary data from OzTAM.
As a result Seven easily won the night with a share of 26.8 per cent while Nine (17.7 per cent) was nearly in the unusual situation of being beaten by Ten (15.5 per cent). ABC1 rated 11.3 per cent.
Unusually, Ten beat Nine in Perth by 14 per cent to 12.6 per cent and in Adelaide by 14.7 per cent to 14.3 per cent.
What a disaster this program has been for Nine. They had a popular program – Farmer Wants A Wife – but they decided that was “too blokey” and they replaced it with this program about a busload of women travelling from town to town looking for a bonk. Strong women? Weak ratings.
