Man of Many locked out of Instagram after copyright claim

Australian independent publisher Man of Many has lost access to Instagram for five days after a minor copyright infringement, cutting off a key commercial channel despite the issue being resolved.

The men-targeted lifestyle publication, which was named Mumbrella Media Brand of the Year in 2025, triggered the Meta-owned platform’s automated suspension process after unwittingly posting an Ashes-related video licensed by ViralHog.

While the matter was resolved with ViralHog within two days, the publication has yet to regain access to its Instagram account, which has 301,000 followers, remaining suspended despite multiple steps, messages, and tickets lodged with Meta’s support team
