Manchester United marketer to reveal secrets of the world’s most valuable sporting brand

jonathan rigbymanchester united crestThe man in charge of marketing the most valuable sporting brand in the world is to speak at an exclusive lunch event organised by Mumbrella and the Association of Data-driven Marketing and Advertising.

Jonathan Rigby, head of marketing at Manchester United, will be interviewed on stage by Mumbrella’s Tim Burrowes, about managing the brand of the club whose players have included the likes of David Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney.

Just 300 places are available at the event, which takes place on Thursday July 18. Rigby’s visit coincides with the clash between the Premier League champions and the A-League All Stars. Tickets for the game sold out within minutes of going on sale.

Rigby has been in the Manchester United role for three years. Prior to that he worked at several of the UK’s best known advertising agencies including AMV BBDO, WCRS, Lowe and Draft FCB.
