Married at First Sight cheating scandal helps Nine beat Seven’s MKR

The affair between Married at First Sight contestants Dean and Davina handed Nine its highest ever regular episode audience, finishing the night with 1.351m metro viewers.

Nine’s reality show was more than 200,000 viewers ahead of Seven’s My Kitchen Rules, which averaged a metro audience of 1.139m. Ten’s I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here’s elimination episode managed 618,000.

The key advertising demographics (16-39, 18-49 and 25-54) also reported Nine’s Married at First Sight as the preferred program of the evening. My Kitchen Rules was the second most watched program across all demographics.
