Married at First Sight closes gap between MKR, pulls largest audience for current series

Nine’s Married at First Sight is gaining on Seven’s My Kitchen Rules, closing the gap on the reality cooking show’s winning streak, as Seven managed to win the first night of the official ratings season.

Married at First Sight achieved its highest audience for the current series, attracting1.064m – well in front of last week’s 909,000, and beating MKR’s 1.075m, according to OzTAM’s overnight preliminary metro ratings.

The blind wedding show reached the million mark for the first time this season, to become the most watched program across key advertising demographics of 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54.
