Masterchef: Back To Win launches to 1.268m metro viewers
The all-stars version of Masterchef, which premiered on Ten last night, had an average metro audience of 1.228m metro viewers. With the addition of regional viewers, this climbed to 1.562m.
The launch is 71.7% up on last year’s launch figure of 715,000 metro viewers.
Last year, the show launched slightly later in April and was up against Lego Masters on Nine, which doesn’t launch until Monday next week this year.
The 2018 premiere had 890,000 metro viewers, while in 2017 it had 1.060m. The 2020 premiere was also up on 2016’s figure of 1.012m. It was only slightly behind 2015’s 1.231m.
These ratings must annoy the heck out of Gary, George and Matt. Channel 10 managed to halve the cost of its talent and added 40% more viewers to its cooking competition. Now that’s how you run a business.
