Masterchef host George Calombaris in ad for Western Star butter
Western Star butter has used Masterchef’s gesticular host George Calombaris in an ad to promote the product’s use in cooking. The ad, developed by OMD Fuse Melbourne, was shot at Calombaris’s restaurant Hellenic Republic restaurant in Melbourne.
Sharon Cookson, director of OMD Fuse Melbourne, said: “The objective was to capture a natural, unscripted feel which fitted perfectly with George Calombaris’ passion for cooking and using good, natural food.”
OMD Fuse worked with Western Star marketers Sarah McIntyre and Upendra Navaratne, George Calombaris and production company Suitcase Murphy in Melbourne to select the range of tips, Cookson explained.
