Masterchef, House Rules do battle with Nick Kyrgios

KrygiosTen’s Masterchef pulled in 896,000 metro viewers last night despite facing competition from rising tennis star Nick Krygios whose famous victory over Rafael Nadal was replayed on 7TWO.

Just under 290,000 tuned in to see the highlights of Krygios’s victory, which started at 7.30pm, the same time as the cooking contestants resumed battle on Ten. The replay helped 7TWO to an audience share of 7.9 per cent.

Seven’s House Rules also aired in the same time slot, attracting 1.51m metro viewers, making it the top rated show of the night.  Ten romantic drama Offspring, which followed Masterchef, pulled in 746,000, comfortably ahead of Seven’s US sitcom The Goldbergs’ 595,000.
