Masterchef most-watched non-news show as Madam Secretary boosts audience
In a quiet night in TV Masterchef was the most-watched non-news show despite not cracking the 1m viewer mark.
The cooking show, airing on Ten in the 7.30pm timeslot, was watched by 998,000 metro viewers, up slightly on last week’s audience of 937,000 when it was competing with the State of Origin, but not up to the previous week’s audience of 1.127m.
It out-rated Seven’s House Rules which grabbed a metro audience of 856,000 while Nine’s Reno Rumble was watched by 668,000.
Meanwhile, the second outing of Ten’s Madam Secretary was watched by 657,000, up from last week’s audience of 440,000.
Plenty of soft targets in Charlie Pickering’s predictable offering.
Yawn…
