Maxus shows its clients some Valentine’s Day love
Maxus is showing its entire client list some Valentine’s Day love with a series of ads devoted to them in the Herald Sun and The Daily Telegraph today.
The media agency has peppered the classifieds section with loving tributes to clients, which in Melbourne include Susuki, Domino’s Pizza, Jeep, Hungry Jack’s, Melbourne Airport and Monash University.
Each of the ads carries copy tailored to each client, for instance Jeep is serenaded with the message ‘You drive me love crazy, I can’t hold back!’
Nice idea guys
Is this not one of the most sickly, sycophantic things you’ve ever seen?
@Rob – disagree. It’s obviously cheeky and meant in a fun, light hearted spirit.
Just wish we had thought of it.. well done Maxus
I don’t know Rob, Momo on the 7th one down is pretty bad…
Suzuki and SOT didn’t make the cut for a colour ad?
The cynicism in thinking its sycophantic is sad. I think it’s cute.
It’s a nice gesture, shows they are thinking of their clients. Plus it would have been no cost.
@Rob – Probably, but it would work.
Great idea; so long you’re the first to do it. Next year everyone else will do it and it will become tacky.
Didn’t they do this corny stunt last year?????
I’m sure they had more lovers then……..
@rob
no, its a nice idea
I think the tribute above Hungry Jack’s is funnier. What an enigma.
@rob – disagree. It’s a nice idea, simple, no-fuss, and feels genuine.
Sure, one can be cynical but is Valentine’s Day the time for that 🙂
Well done Maxus, nice idea
Wouldn’t it be nice if a client did something like this for its agencies on valentines…
This brought a smile to my face. Nice idea, today’s definitely the day to be cheesy if you’re gonna do something like this. Well played Maxus
@Rob – if you can’t see the obvious cheeky fun in this on valentines day you oughtn’t be in a client service industry.
?
@Rob – didn’t you have a Valentine this year mate?
Just two and a half columns of Valentines Day classifieds in the Daily Telegraph this year. A far cry from 1983 when there were so many Valentine greetings the paper published a 32 page liftout in the middle of the paper.
