Maze Runner: The Death Cure earns $3.4m at weekend box office
Fox’s science fiction action film Maze Runner: The Death Cure debuted in cinemas last week managing to earn $3.4m for its first weekend at the box office across 257 screens.
Rising to number one for last weekend’s Australian box office, The Death Cure overtook Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, which drew in an additional $2.783m across 417 screens.
Holding its third place with $2.05m was Fox’s The Greatest Showman, adding to its total box office to date figure of $20.3m.
Pitch Perfect 3 fell from last week’s second spot to fourth, earning $1.347m across 320 screens.
Meanwhile The Post also dropped a spot moving from fourth to fifth for its second week in the box office with $1.132m over the weekend.
