Mean Girls tops Aussie box office

Tina Fey’s reboot of the 2004 comedy classic Mean Girls topped the Australian box office this weekend, bringing in $3.4 million in its first four days at the cinema.

Over 150,000 people saw Mean Girls over the weekend, trumping Wonka, which drew a healthy 122,000 in its fifth weekend, to bring its total box office to an impressive $31.2 million.
