MediaCom hires OMD’s Laverde as data chief; OMD promotes Liddell to run Fuse

MediaCom has hired OMD’s metrics director Juan Laverde to head up its data analytics division. He will report Harry Jayaweera, who runs MediaCom’s The Response Group.

Before OMD, Laverde was at Unilever, where he developed the company’s marketing mix modelling programme.

“We are always looking at how we can strengthen our client offer and feel Juan’s appointment and skills will evolve the strong set of skills we have in place,” said Jayaweera.

The news comes as OMD Sydney’s brand content agency, Fuse, promotes Joanne Liddell to director of the agency.

Liddell replaces Alistair Henderson, who was yesterday announced as OMD’s national head of strategy.

During her time at Fuse, Liddell has picked up a silver Lion at Cannes for McDonald’s, a bronze for Fantastic Noodles, and Media Campaign of the Year in 2008 for V Energy Drink.

She will run a team of ten, and report to Mark Jarrett, OMD Sydney’s general manager.
