Media agency PHD has appointed former EightyKs owner Melanie Kay onto its board in a move aimed at tightening its relationship with new client PepsiCo.
PHD won the $30m media buying from EightyKs in August.
Kay has joined PHD as executive director. She will manage the PepsiCo account as well as taking on a wider management role within the agency.

And the experience she has gained from running her own business for some time will be put to great use here. She will really help improve our internal management systems. She is experienced, smart, no-nonsense and very driven”
Jenni Dill, PepsiCo’s marketing director, said: “Melanie is one of most talented media people I have worked with. She immerses herself into our brands, and has continually delivered world class media solutions. We are very happy, that she has joined PHD to continue to lead our brands.”
