Melbourne radio ratings: Fox FM falls to sixth place as Triple M wins FM breakfast battle
Southern Cross Austereo’s Fox FM has finished in sixth place in the Monday to Friday breakfast ratings battle, with Fifi, Dave, Fev & Byron dropping 1.2 points from 7.6% to 6.4% in survey two for 2017.
Last survey, Nova 100 won the breakfast battle with an 8.1% share, but this survey they finished in second place thanks to a 0.5 share point fall – leaving the door open for Triple M to win the breakfast battle.

Sorry but your headline is technically wrong. Triple M DIDN’T win the b/fast battle – that was won by 3AW with a huge lead yet again. Triple M won the FM b/fast slot but the overall breakfast radio slot, both AM and FM, was won by 3AW easily, with ABC second and Triple M a distant third.

What a terribly misleading headline. Triple M did not win the breakfast battle at all. Lat time I checked, 19.3 is a higher number than 8.0.
3AW won the breakfast battle. By miles.
worthwhile pointing out, nova didnt give H&A a run for their money.
H&A weren’t even on live for 75% of the surveyed period.
also why do you distinguish between FM and AM. It is radio, advertisers don’t book spots on an FM signal vs an AM signal. They book a station. Just call it radio
Do the FM’s fund mumbrella ?
3AW, the winning breakfast team made the last paragraph… I don’t know many radios these days that can’t choose a station on AM or FM at a push of a button… why separate them, they still share the same Melbourne audience.
What about overnight ratings?
Second that anon, H & A will rise in the next few surveys. BTW, surely ratings can be recorded differently ( going forward ) without filling in a booklet!!
