Melbourne radio ratings: Smooth FM only FM station to show improvements in breakfast, but Fox maintains lead
For the second radio ratings survey of the year, Nova Entertainment’s Smooth FM was the only FM station to show an improvement in the breakfast time slot with its hosts Jennifer Hanson and Mike Perso improving 0.3 ratings points to an 8.1% share.
Smooth FM managed to improve from survey one’s fourth place, moving up to second and overtaking both Triple M and Nova.

I have with some reluctance returned to ABC (trying to overcome my aversion to the patronising and annoying Jon Faine). For some years I listened almost exclusively to SEN but with their changes and how they were handled, I will not listen to them again whilst that [edited under Mumbrella’s comment moderation policy] Hutchison has any involvement there. Giving 1278 a go too but their band strength is not great in my area.
I used to listen to SEN but have turned off due to the way they treated their presenters especially David Swartz & Francis Leach. Hutchinson choosing mates instead like Liam Pickering – it really is a boys club! I honestly have no idea why they persist with Garry Lyon, I tried listening once and is very arrogant and negative, that whiney voice! Anyway I have tuned to Macquarie Sports Radio – love the drive show with David Swartz back and Bridget Duclos on Saturday mornings. Also love 3AW on Saturday with the legend Caroline Wilson.
