Melissa Doyle ‘to quit Sunrise’
Sunrise co-host Melissa Doyle could quit the breakfast show as early as January next year, according to reports.
A story in yesterday’s Sunday Telegraph centred on Doyle’s contract negotiations at Seven, during which she is believed to have ‘shopped around’ at other networks.
Rumours of Doyle’s departure have been fueled by her appearance on Sunday Night.
Doyle, who was nominated for a logie for most popular presenter this year, is believed to be tired of the breakfast-time shift and wants a primetime position.

I hope this story has the desired effect – making Ms Doyle’s next contract just the little bit more expensive. I’ll still be watching ABC Breakfast News regardless.
If Melissa Doyle wants to go into primetime, she could switch with Chris Barr.
