Writer, editor and publisher Mia Freedman will join News Limited Sunday newspapers as a columnist from Sunday January 29.
Ha. What a cost saving for Fairfax.
Well, seems like Fairfax weren’t too bothered in the end. When journos were being laid off she was asking for far too much $$$$. Nice work Jack Mathews, clearly these over paid columnists can’t mess with Fairfax now.
Well NP, apparently the digital peeps did try and lobby for her. MUsta been too much for Fairfax to stomach. Good luck to her. May Rupert guide her along.
It is the “she has three kids and a dog” that do it for me. I respect a journalist’s topic selection, research and writing skills far more when I know they have reproduced and are a pet owner.
I am always left wondering whether I can trust journalists who do not reveal their reproductive status or whether they go home each night to a furry friend.
