Microsoft’s Bing okayed to power Yahoo!7 Search

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission has given Microsoft the green light to integrate Yahoo!7 Search into its Bing search engine.

The deal, which will last for 10 years, will also see Yahoo exclusively handle sales for both companies’ premium search advertisers around the world.

Microsoft and Yahoo already have an existing relationship in Australia, with the former utilising the latter’s paid search platform through their respective subsidiaries Ninemsn and Yahoo!7.
