Mitchell’s Carat starts with an account loss
Carat’s first day under the management of Harold Mitchell has begun with the media agency losing another piece of business, with Starcom Melbourne picking up health insurance brand Frank.
Yesterday marked the official completion of the deal for Carat’s owner Aegis to buy the Mitchell Communication Group.
Aegis’ share price finished in London this morning up about 2%.
On Monday Mitchell told the AFR: “I’ve told the blokes in the UK, don’t worry, the cavalry is coming.”
Carat picked up Australian Unity this is why they had to resign Frank!
Really. So the portfolio now includes Carat, Vizeum, Mitchells and MPG (and i bet I’ve forgotten one) and they had to “resign” it because they couldn;t manage the conflict? Hmm
No offence to Frank but a $1M client is probably worth more to Mitchells gone, than serviced.
I would’ve thought Frank Vizeum would have made a good fit for Frank health insurance?
I’m with Rascal, between Mitchells and Carat they could now let a few crumbs drop rather than running those tiny accounts on shit margins just to hold onto them
Didn’t realise Carat was still in business after their last 6 months.
I guess winning $60m of new business In a year doesn’t count for much any more! Poor journalism does not equal poor performance!
So why did Recma say Carat had the biggest fall – losing $77m?
Spelling???!!!! Sort it out. Pathetic
Thanks for your helpful 3.17am advice, anonymous. Was there a particular word you had a problem with?
Cheersd,

Maybe Anonymous 3.17am thinks you have misspelt carrot???
