Mix FM ditches McKenney and Kruger from breakfast show
Mix FM has pulled the plug on its struggling breakfast show, confirming the end of its Sonia Kruger and Todd McKenney partnership after less than two years.
The pair began their show in January 2008, but have failed to make ratings inroads. They were one of the first programming moves following the appointment of Anthony Fitzgerald as ARN’s Sydney general manager in August 2007. As well as Mix, ARN also owns Sydney stations WSFM and The Edge.
McKenney and Kruger are both currently best known for their roles as judge and presenter on Seven’s Dancing With the Stars.
In the latest set of figures – released on Tuesday – the show had a share of just 3.3%.
I was no huge fan of theirs but the three they have to replace them with are bland and boring
I hear there’s a husband and wife duo in the running?
Does anyone ever believe this “mutual decision has been reached” spiel?
I mean, as if ARN said to Sonia and Todd “your ratings suck, so you gotta go” and the breakfast duo chirpily agreed, saying “Yes, we agree”.

Sonia was a good talent however I turned off MIX when I listened to Todd (I’m so important )Kenney .I couldn’t stand his arrogance and insensitivity.So I turned off MIX all together in protest.. Bring on Mike E and Carmella they are what breakfast mornings needs and they are fun and INTERESTING ..50 year old listener
