Mrs Mac’s intriguing campaign
Now here’s an interesting campaign for Mrs Mac’s pies – interesting for a couple of reasons.
First the ad, which has already clocked up nearly half a million views since being uploaded a week ago.
The ad is from Perth’s Marketforce. If you watch it to the end, regardless of the sexism, I think you’ll understand why it’s picked up the views.
But there’s more to the campaign. There’s also an interesting online competition to go with it – an endurance challenge to 100 finalists to stay visible on their webcams.
Two interesting ideas in one campaign is a couple more than many manage.

I’m not trying to be deliberately provocative, but why exactly is this ad sexist?
The TVC was hilarious! And I don’t know that it’s sexist, as long as it would work with a male model in the same spot then it ain’t sexist – and I actually think that idea would still work either way! Brilliant!
Don’t know about the competition promo, though – I don’t like that the voice over is male…
Gezza an ad is sexist the minute someone is offended by it – and it can never go back to being un-sexist. Sort of like a rape allegation makes someone a rapist until the end of time.
Wise words indeed
That VO sounds like a mash between Alan Jones and Ray Hadley – with overtones of Bert Newton!
Love the ad idea. Simple and smart but the competition promo is just annoying. The voice over is horrible and just reeks of cheap, loud selling.

So the longer you last the crustier you get? Mmmm suddenly feel like a Pie …
Looks strangely familiar http://www.unrulymedia.com/cas.....-game.html
Erm – where’s the sexism? Did you mean sexy-ism?
Pretty gross.
BRILLIANT! Shame such nauseating wowserism exists in the Eastern States.
Funny. If you’re offended by this you’re not in the target demo.
Bahahaha! Top marks love it!
The idea’s spot on and a lot of fun – no argument there – but I think the cactus penis, the take-me-from-behind poses and massive money shot all over the car masquerading as soap suds are pretty unnecessary porn references, no matter how nicely filmed or tongue-in-cheek, and are thus what earn it Tim’s ‘sexist’ reference. Nauseating wowserism or soft porn … one man’s (or woman’s) meat is another man (or woman’s) poison.
I know a bloke that loves cougars…he’ll love this ad!
