Mumbrella to open Melbourne operation headed by Robin Hicks
Mumbrella is to open a Melbourne office headed by managing editor Robin Hicks.
Hicks, currently based in Sydney, will move shortly and move to the new role of Melbourne Editor.
On Wednesday evening Hicks will moderate Mumbrella Question Time Melbourne at the Marriott Hotel. The session features Carlton Football Club’s GM of communications Ian Coutts, agency relationship consultant Darren Woolley, Mark McCraith, chief operating officer of media agency Maxus and adman Sean Cummins.
Hicks, who will cover the Melbourne beat and continue to contribute national coverage said: “Every time I visit Melbourne’s agencies I’m struck by the fact that some of the best work in the country is coming out of Melbourne, but does not necessarily get the credit it deserves. I’m looking forward to helping contribute in a small way to changing that.”
