This week’s Mumbrellacast is a live recording from our Compass Melbourne event, where a panel of media and marketing insiders discuss the many challenges facing the industry.

If you get a panel of marketing and media creatives into a room, talk will inevitably turn to AI.

And so it was in Melbourne, with the AI conversation starting early in this panel. One of the most interesting points happens to paraphrase comedian Jimmy Carr, who likened AI to a good cover band: great at replication and good at mimicry, but not capable of doing the right-brain creative thinking that fuels the industry.
