Michael Scott joins Myer in newly created role of executive general manager of brand and marketing

Myer has appointed Virgin Australia’s Michael Scott to the newly-created role of executive general manager of brand and marketing.

Scott joins the retail chain six months after the departure of former head of marketing Tara Lordsmith, who departed the company to restart her consultancy, Lordsmith & Co.

He joins Myer after three-and-a-half years with Virgin Australia where he was general manager of brand strategy, marketing and media. He has also previously worked at Nike, Coles Myer and McDonald’s.
