NAB introduces ‘The Stand Ins’ for grand final day
NAB has created a competition that sees the bank’s staff volunteer to give AFL fans the chance to go to the grand final match.
The NAB Stand-Ins will turn up to whatever the event, where ever needed on 29 September so that the fans can see the big game.
Sandra de Castro, NAB chief marketing officer said in a statement: “This campaign breathes life into one of the most gratifying components of NAB’s ‘more give, less take’ promise: Our dedication to do the right thing.”
The competition and campaign, created by Clemenger BBDO Melbourne will be carried across TV, radio, outdoor, online, press, inshore and social media.
Clemms’ ECD Ant Keogh said: “We found that nearly half of Victoria would I’ve up whatever they were meant to be doing that day in order to get the Grand Final. Footy fans said they would give up beer, hand over their mobile phone and even give up wearing deodorant for a year to get a seat at the game.”
The campaign launch follows a string of teaser videos which appeared on YouTube earlier this week.
Boring
Doesn’t everybody watch the Granny and not work or do anything else that day anyway?
What else would they be doing that day?
Like the ad!
@ Jeepers, yeah that’s right everyone watches the grand final that day, nothing else happens.
All of the pubs are closed and public transport shuts down, in fact there are no public services.
Got to admit, this is a great advert and I will be switching banks.
NAB > ANZ
Does it work in reverse? Let’s hope Andrew Demetriou takes it up.
Nice use of a corporate sponsorship. About time someone worked how to make those things pay.
