Nadal’s shock Australian Open exit brings 1.075m metro viewers to Nine

A shock exit for world number one Rafael Nadal from the Australian Open brought 1.075m metro viewers to Nine on Wednesday night. Nationally 1.441m viewers tuned in to the match which saw Dominic Thiem take a four set win over the tennis champ.

The game peaked at 1.561m metro viewers and 2.174m national. It was easily the most-watched match of the day, with Stan Wawrinka’s game against Alexander Zverev bringing in 380,000 metro viewers and Anett Kontaveit vs Simona Halep 156,000.
