National Hockey League now streaming on Fox Sports’ Kayo

Multi-sport streaming service, Kayo, is set to stream National Hockey League (NHL) ice hockey matches through its partnership with ESPN.

The Australian service will show a minimum of three live games each week. Once the league reaches the playoffs, there will be extensive coverage of rounds one and two, the conference finals and the Stanley Cup.

Kayo already provides sports fans with access to more than 50 sports including cricket, AFL, NRL and the A-League as well as European soccer leagues, US basketball and surfing. Prices start from $25 a month, and unlike other sports streaming services, don’t rely on lock-in contracts.

The service has been previously described by Foxtel CEO Pat Delany as the “Netflix of sport”.

Sport can be streamed on iOS and Android devices, laptop, PC and on TV with Telstra TV, Apple TV and Chromecast Ultra.

In December, Kayo launched its first TV, outdoor and print executions to help educate consumers about what the product does.

Last week, News Corp revealed the streaming service had picked up 100,000 paying subscribers in the first month of its operations.
