Vodafone corporate affairs boss follows ex-CEO to NBN Co

The general manager of corporate affairs for Vodafone Australia Karina Keisler is set to leave the telco to follow her former boss Bill Morrow to the National Broadband Network Company (NBN) for a new role.
Keisler, who has worked with Vodafone since 2012 and had previously been at Telstra and Sensis in senior roles, has been appointed executive general manager, corporate affairs at NBN Co starting June 2.
Keisler has more than ten years’ experience in telecommunications media including the last two at Vodafone, as the brand looked to rebuild its reputation after being plagued by network issues.
Oh Bill, do we really find it that hard to work with new people? You brought these people into Vodafone to help you , you leave before the jobs is done , and then you yank them to NBN with you ……. surrounding yourself with devotees ….
@Bill (Bill the commenter, not Bill the NBN chief) – Morrow clearly has high regard for Karina, and having worked with her in the past, so do I. She clearly was a crucial part of the leadership team in executing Vodafone’s turnaround, so why on earth wouldn’t he want to have her help do the same thing with getting the NBN on track? As far as the existing NBN team, clearly he feels some changes are needed and that is his prerogative, I’d also suggest that many in the NBN team were very pro-Labour and welded to that FTTH vision, now that’s changed and they need to get with the new program and not keep whinging about how much better the original vision was. I agree that the FTTH plan was far superior but NBN ballsed up the rollout and now there is a new Govt wanting a different implementation, so you get with it or you get out.
All these people coming to the NBN from Vodafone? Of course, we all know how totally successful they have been, so what real hope is there for the NBN’s future?

Sorry Jack but many on the original NBN team were pro-technology and it’s a miracle they achieved what they did with all the politicising.
NBNCo’s reputation is shot and no amount of glitter will make it attractive until the technologists are back running the show.
