New show The Bump to replace Hot 30
The Today Network is to replace its nightly Hot 30 – which was axed in the wake of the suicide of British nurse Jacintha Saldanha after a prank call – with a new interactive program called The Bump.
The Bump will be hosted by former Adelaide SAFM breakfast host Angus O’Loughlin, who will move to Sydney to host the national progarm.
He will replace royal pranksters Michael Christian and Mel Greig who remain on stress leave. Mumbrella understands they have been told they can return to the network in unspecified roles if they wish to.
Mamamia at 3, Fifi & Jules at 4, Dan and Maz at 6 and then this guy playing requests at 8. Too many talking heads. At least the music director can go home at 3pm
So the 2 announcers who were summer fill and been on air days only, get the flick after the most horrible of experiences of fronting camera’s with tight script like answers, not naming names of producers, program directors, legal or whoever approved the airing, against the code of 9.3 and they sit back months later on their big salaries without any ramifications.
