One episode of War on Waste was more than enough for me. I found it hard to watch as people vied with each other to abase themselves before the ABC cameras and and denounce themselves for their “waste”. Not one of them stood up to say, “What is this? The Cultural Revolution?” I suppose they were a self-selecting group, the kind of people who are driven to shrive themselves before whoever will grant them indulgence.
