New York Post goes west with daily California Post newspaper

The New York Post, America’s longest running print newspaper, is launching a West Coast version of its daily paper, and its editor-in-chief will be an Australian.

The California Post will be based in Los Angeles, and will be operated by the New York Post Media Group — a subsidiary of News Corp.

Much like the New York Post, the publication will comprise of a digital publication as well as a daily print edition. According to a statement from News Corp, LA houses the largest audience for the Post’s online version outside of New York, with 3.5 million monthly unique visitors from the city, and 7.3 million in the state of California.
