Newcastle Herald journos issue vote of no-confidence in Fairfax boss Greg Hywood
Journalists of Newcastle Herald have issued a vote of no-confidence against Fairfax boss Greg Hywood, who pressed ahead with a plan to shift 41 jobs from Newcastle to New Zealand this week.
The following statement has been released on the We Love Our Newcastle Herald Facebook page.
A resolution that has just been passed:

Didn’t realise Fairfax was a parliament. I thought it was a business.
Meh, he’ll still make his $1.5m a year. Pity about the value of the $1.6m shares he holds, but swings and roundabouts.

Does Fairfax hate women? Is there a single woman at C-level in that company? It’s not like there are no smart women in media. Also, someone needs some credible digital experience. Can they recruit someone from Amazon/Google/YouTube/Twitter – someone! anyone!
Obviously Greg Hywood got the job on his amazing charisma.
