News.com.au launches men’s mental health campaign to stop ‘the silent killer’
News.com.au is encouraging men to communicate with one another, family and friends, as part of a four-week mental health campaign.
From today, news.com.au will seek to shed light on the mental health issues that men face by producing editorial and video content related to the issues.
Will news.com.au will now support the Safe Schools program? Safe Schools supports some of the most vulnerable young men (and women) in society. On April 15 2017, Miranda Devine stated that the program will lead to an epidemic of transgender children in Australia. So a group of transgender kids is collectively known as an “epidemic”? Thanks Daily Telegraph. Thanks news.com.au. The damage you do is far greater than the good you provide.
Not sure what this point has to do with the article Nick? Like at all. Is Mumbrella just where we get on our ideological high horses now?
Props to Mumbrella for actually talking time to talk about this stuff.
Miranda Devine doesn’t work for news.com.au ………..
If either of you two actually understood what it is like to be a male with a mental illness especially in this industry, you may very well not comment moving forward. Keyboard warriors like you need to realise it isn’t about you….
“AB” seems empathetic toward males with a mental illness. Not sure how calling them a keyboard warrior helps, it’s not all about you.
Anyway, well done on News. This is important work.
I worked at News Ltd for more than 20 years and never once felt comfortable disclosing my depression, therefore suffered in silence. The culture is so blokey and powers that be are so ignorant it would have harmed my career.
